Singlefacer and Doublebacker defects : Corrugation Loose

Corrugation Loose - While Running

Condition 1:
When corrugation gets distorted or pulled out of shape at singlefacer and are not adhered to singlefacer liner in contact with it.

Causes:
This problem could be caused by several factors. It may occur if the finger is too low, or the fluting medium in the fluff out area of the finger. In such a case, raising the finger may help to address the issue. Another reason could be a broken or worn finger, which requires a replacement to ensure that the corrugation adheres to the singlefacer liner correctly.

Additionally, if the corrugation medium is too wet or dry, it can also lead to this problem. Adjusting the shower and wrape on Preconditioner could help to address this issue. Lastly, dirty corrugating rolls can also cause this problem, making it essential to clean the corrugating rolls regularly.

Remedies:
To address this problem, it is recommended to raise the finger if it is too low or replace the broken or worn finger. Adjusting the shower and wrape on Preconditioner can help to regulate the corrugation medium's moisture level and prevent it from getting too wet or dry.

Moreover, cleaning the corrugating rolls regularly can help to ensure that they remain free of dirt and debris, enabling them to perform optimally. By following these remedies, it is possible to prevent corrugation from getting distorted or pulled out of shape and ensure that it adheres correctly to the singlefacer liner.

Corrugation Loose - While Running

Condition 2
It appears that there is a condition 2 issue with the liner medium and liner separating after initial bonding. This issue could be caused by various factors, such as too much vacuum, corrugation medium being too wet or dry, low heat in corrugation roll and pressure rolls, or adhesive gel temperature being too high or viscosity too low.

If the issue is due to too much vacuum, it is recommended to reduce the vacuum used during the process. If the corrugation medium is too wet or dry, the shower and wrape on preconditioner should be adjusted accordingly to achieve the right moisture level. If the heat in corrugation roll and pressure rolls is low, it is important to check the temperature and steam pressure to ensure they are at the correct levels.

Lastly, if the adhesive gel temperature is too high or viscosity is too low, it is important to check the adhesive formula being used. This will ensure that the adhesive properties are optimized and that the liner and medium can bond together effectively.
